  • Well, I would hardly call myself the final word on next-gen opacs, but thanks.

    However, on recommendations, I strongly recommended that libraries fold in other review/rank/recommend services, such as Librarything for Libraries (or in one example, Amazon). Take advantage of existing social data and don't try to reinvent the wheel. Once you have that data, maybe you can turn on the ability to enhance it... or not.

    We have a question about the Recommendations section. Amazon tracks your search history. Does Koha track search history or checkouts, or both?
  • Ah, I think I just found the answer in Working List paragraph. So Koha doesn't keep track of what you click on, but the user can by putting items into the book bag and virtual shelves lists.
  • Great list. I would add the ability to customize the dictionary in the spellcheck category.
